Just a note to brag on my new rider wife and her '96 Savage. We rode from Seattle to Winthrop, Washington last weekend with a group of friends. The 500 mile trip over the North Cascades highway just about doubled the total number of miles my wife has ever ridden on her own. Both rider and bike emerged unscathed and triumphant! Considering that the ride included some serious sport riders on similarly serious machines, I was especially proud of both Kindie and "Thumper." (I know it's not an original nickname, but my wife had a rabbit named "Thumper" as a child and couldn't be convinced to come up with a more unique moniker for her bike.)

I was especially impressed that the bike managed to climb almost 6000 feet at 70mph plus without a hiccup.

Kindie is a lifelong skier and I think that her innate sense of balance contributed to her comfort and quickly acquired riding skills. At the same time, considerable credit has to go to this wonderful little bike.

BTW, we added TourMaster cordura bags mounted on the standard Suzuki bag supports prior to the trip. Great bags with easily accessible compartments. They hold a weekend's worth of clothes with room to spare. The clips allow both bags to be mounted/removed in less than a minute. Great product.
